Beco Pets duo attend VIP awards ahead of major launch

The duo behind Beco Pets, Britain’s biggest manufacturer of eco-friendly pet products, attended a VIP reception in the City of London hosted by Europe’s top business awards.
Beco’s Co-Founders Toby Massey and George Bramble were on the guest list after being shortlisted and named ‘UK National Champions’ in the 2016 awards.

Around 50 other shortlisted entrepreneurs were also there, but Beco Pets was the only UK pet trade company to enter the awards and was therefore the industry’s sole representative.
Business leaders at the reception, held at The London Stock Exchange, were told that across Europe, 32,000 businesses from 33 countries had applied to the awards.
Adrian Tripp, CEO and Founder of the European Business Awards, now in their eighth year, told delegates that to get this far in the competition marked a significant achievement.

“You should feel proud of what you have done in your businesses,” he told them. “You are also contributing to society. Unless we create a strong business community, there won't be a future for our children who come after us.”

Robert Coles, Master of Ceremonies at the reception, told shortlisted UK companies (pictured below), including Beco Pets: “As National Champions, you should be very proud to have got to this point.”

European Business Awards judges have previously included some of the world’s top business, economic and political leaders, such as Christine Lagarde (Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund) and the former Prime Minister of Spain Jose Aznar.
Organisers of the awards have praised Beco Pets as “a top business in Europe”, telling the company: “You are a flag bearer for your country and a case study for European business success. Companies like yours will continually raise the standard benchmark for business excellence across Europe.”
To be in with a chance of making it through to the awards final in Milan this summer, Beco Pets have asked their supporters to vote for them by visiting:
George Bramble (pictured above, second right with Adrian Tripp, far right), said: “The quality and calibre of companies across Europe and the UK set the benchmark very high, and we feel excited and very proud to have been awarded a UK National Champion status.
“Beco Pets’ ethos of producing environmentally-friendly pet products and accessories using recycled and degradable materials is winning new customers worldwide and being recognised by these awards is a great vote of confidence for us.”

Co-Founder Toby Massey, (top picture, second left) added: “This is a tremendous honour for us and a well-deserved reward to our hard-working UK team and all our European distributors.”
Beco, which is set to unveil a major new product range at the PATS Sandown show in March, sells products in 43 countries, with markets including Denmark, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, New Zealand, Iceland, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Portugal.
The company recently launched their 'Project Poop Bag' campaign (Campaign motto: 'We Love Poop!'), inviting independent pet retailers to register to become a Beco bag stockist. Beco have now sold 10 million bags to 15 countries around the world.
