Pets Choice has welcomed several new appointments to their Marketing, Sales and Technical departments as the leading pet food manufacturer continues to expand its Blackburn based Head Office team.

Michael Woods joins the company as technical compliance manager, Jennifer Dean as new product development technologist, Zoe Hardaker as product manager, Rachael Platts as creative and graphic designer and Kirsty Samson as national account manager.

Technical compliance manager, Michael Woods, has previously worked for brands such as Beech’s Fine Chocolates and Sainsburys. He comments “ I am very excited to be joining Pets Choice at such an interesting time with the continued growth plans in the pipeline. I am certain that my experience of working within the food industry will contribute to the growth of the business.”

As nutritionist and technologist, Jennifer Dean will be responsible for the development and creation of new products to add to their wide range of pet foods and treats.  She comments “Pets Choice is a rapidly growing business in a fast paced industry and I can’t wait to get started. The launch of their Webbox Natural range shows the innovation that the business is capable of and I am excited to develop and expand on the current products.”

Zoe Hardaker, who joins the company as product manager, comes from grocery retailer Asda commented, “Coming from the retailer sector, I know how exciting the pet industry can be and I can’t wait to work with the Pets Choice team. There is a lot of new products in the pipeline as well as developments to existing ranges including the expansion of the toy range and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Creative and graphic designer, Rachael Platts, explains: “Pets Choice is a really innovative company and the pet industry as a whole is flourishing as the humanisation trend continues to dominate the market. As a pet lover, I am very excited to working within a sector that I am so passionate about.”

With a strong understanding of the pet industry, having worked with Burgess Pet Foods and Westland Horticulture, Kirsty Samson, will be working with a number of large customers to help expand Webbox distribution throughout the UK. She comments “With my knowledge of the pet food industry, I understand the demands of such a busy and fast paced industry and I am glad to be joining the Pets Choice team, using my knowledge to help grow the Pets Choice portfolio of businesses.”

Tony Raeburn, CEO of Pets Choice said of the appointments: “Pets Choice have experienced growth throughout 2016 and we have seen the launch of some great new products. We want to see this growth continue and by bringing our new recruits on board, we are confident they will be a huge asset to the further growth of the business.”
