CSJ sponsors Lottie, the porky pooch
|
Lottie the Springer Spaniel weighed 30.8kg when Rachel White rescued her in mid-June.
Her chest measured 29.5 inches and her stomach measured 33 inches and, not surprisingly with carrying so much weight, she is suffering from arthritis.
Rachel contacted CSJ to say that she feeds all her dogs on CSJ food and is now feeding their ‘Porky Pooch’ calorie reduced diet to Lottie, along with CSJ’s ‘Lamb Senior’.
Rachael said: “After just 2 weeks she is already more alert and happier, the vets are thrilled. She is an absolute angel and so happy to now be part of a loving family.”
The aim is to get Lottie’s weight steadily and in a controlled way down to at least 20kg which will also help her arthritis.
Ceri Rundle, CSJ’s founder, was so touched by Lottie’s plight that she immediately volunteered to sponsor her and despatched bags of Lamb Senior and Porky Pooch plus ‘No Ake’ herbs for the arthritis pain plus ‘Dem Bones’ low calorie treats which can also act as appetite suppressors.
Ceri says: “These products have helped other dogs like poor Lottie and we look forward to continuing good news about her progress...watch this space.”
