Pet shop promotes dog-friendly town

A West Yorkshire pet shop is promoting its home town of Wetherby as a dog-friendly place to visit.

The Barking Lot, located in Horsefair, Wetherby, is sponsoring an initiative to identify and promote all of the dog-friendly shops, cafes, pubs and accommodation in the town.

Vicki Lister, of The Barking Lot, said: “We are hoping this initiative brings more visitors.”

The Barking Lot is a small, independent, family-run pet shop specialising in only natural pet food and treats since 2009.

Leaflets listing all the dog-friendly shops, restaurants, cafés, pubs and accommodation are being distributed among businesses and will also be available at the town hall.
