BETA International is perfect platform for pet companies to extend ranges

BETA International is being seen as the perfect platform for pet companies to extend their product ranges into the equestrian market.

This is the view of family-run Goodchap’s, a newcomer to BETA International which takes place at the NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, on 11-13 September.

The brand is proud of its eco-friendly credentials with its dog treats being sustainably sourced from trusted fish merchants in the UK, its toys being hand made and its packaging plastic free.

“We have found that over the past couple of years, our stockists have begun to vary and spread across a broader variety of retail environments,” said the company’s Liam Goodwin.

“From starting out supplying mostly pet shops, dog boutiques and groomers, we have found that more business types would like to stock our products. We have ventured into the world of garden centres, vets and tourist attractions, and have started to gain interest from retailers based in the equestrian world.

“We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to our product lines in our existing horse-themed stockists, and feel that now is the time to jump into the world of horses fully. This is exactly why we have decided to exhibit at BETA International.”

Having exhibited at BETA International in the past, GWF Nutrition is thrilled to be returning to the show this year.

Marketing manager Helen Hounsell said: “As a world-renowned show it was an absolute must for us this year to help us raise the visibility of our equine feed and supplements range across the industry.

“We will be showcasing our high spec retail lines with some great deals to be had, as well as promoting our white labelling capabilities for those businesses who may be looking for an experienced manufacturer to produce on their behalf.”
