Award-winning photographer turns dogs into art form

Hampstead Heath has come alive with all things art this week with dogs getting in on the action.

The dog-friendly Affordable Art Fair, Hampstead, is currently taking place until Sunday, and award-winning animal photographer Amie Barron is on hand to create images to treasure.

Amie said: “I absolutely adore dogs, and it’s my life’s mission, using my camera, to immortalise every dog I meet and their unique personality with art in ways their humans have never seen before.”

Amie added: "I have won awards for my work photographing dogs in urban locations in London and at the art fair I will be working from a bespoke studio that has been created, where the dogs can have their very own studio session.

"I'm so excited to be involved as this is the first time ever they've incorporated dogs into the fair, and given art lovers an immediate way to create something to hang on their walls with their dogs!"

Hugo Barclay, Fair Director said: “Affordable Art Fair Hampstead is just round the corner! We’re proud to be one of the very few events taking place on iconic Hampstead Heath, and we can’t wait to offer art-lovers a wonderful experience at the Fair. From 1,000s of new artworks from galleries across the world, to entertainment and activities for kids and adults (and even your furry friends!),

"Affordable Art Fair Hampstead is the perfect day out in early summer, enjoying inspiring art,  beautiful surroundings, and delicious food and drink!”
