Oscar Pet Foods has announced that Monica and Alan Bower, from Waterlooville, Hampshire, are the winners of a search for the company’s longest-standing customer.

After 25 years of being loyal customers, it turns out to be a time of double celebration for the couple as they recently marked their silver wedding anniversary! 

Originally introduced to Oscar by retired franchisee, Jim Davis, they continue to receive a fantastic personal service from Lucy Morgan – their local nutritional advisor in Southampton.

Monica and Alan win the top prize of free pet food and treats for a year, while runners-up in the competition will receive a limited edition gift box for their pets.

Monica said: “It all began when Oscar knocked on the door 25 years ago. To our surprise Jim Davis, having been a former work colleague of Alan's, became our lucky introduction to a pet food service that almost joined us down the aisle on our Wedding Day!

“Nowadays, our fourth-generation, two-year-old German Shepherd, Sady, continues in the paw prints of her predecessors: enjoying all the benefits available to her from Oscar. 

“There is always something new to learn when you own a pet and we have nothing but praise for the expert knowledge, professional support, reliable service and healthy food – delivered right to our doorstep by Lucy.

“We are over the moon to have won the longest-standing customer prize, and, whilst still feeling lucky, we will always remember that our luckiest day was really the day we became Oscar customers.”
