Hyde Bark summer fundraiser for The Mayhew shelter
|
London animal shelter The Mayhew is running its summer fundraising event 'Hyde Bark' for a second year in June.
Funds for the rescue centre will be raised through the variety of stalls, the Dog Show and Sponsored Walk. There will additionally be an agility arena for those dogs – and owners – who are feeling athletic and a Temptation Alley to test the will of even the most obedient hound.
Last year’s event raised nearly £20,000 and saw over 400 people turn up to support The Mayhew, which has been based in London helping homeless animals since 1886.
Mayhew Events Officer, Lisa Houlihan, said: “We hope to welcome many people for a second year to enjoy an event that promises to be a fantastic day for all the family.
"Enter our fun dog show and browse the fabulous stalls which will help raise funds to help The Mayhew’s homeless animals.
"Hyde Bark promises great activities, vet advice, book signings, vet demonstrations, agility and lots more!
"People will also have the chance to meet some of The Mayhew’s happily homed dogs and find out more about those still waiting for their perfect family. You'd be barking mad to miss it!”
The event tales place in Hyde Park between 10am and 5pm on June 9. To register for the 2k or 5k Sponsored Walk, email events@mayhewanimalhome.org, or call 020 8968 2445.
