Scruffs appoints new Head of Sales to increase domestic growth

 

Manchester-based pet bed manufacturer Scruffs has recently appointed a new head of sales to cover the UK and Ireland market.

 

Chris Johnson joins the Scruffs team to oversee all sales activities and manage the field sales team.

 

He said: “Working closely with all members of the Scruffs team, my aim is to maximise sales with new and existing customers, whilst increasing our brand awareness in the market.”

 

We grabbed five minutes with Chris to find out his passions and goals both in and out of the office.

 

What are you passionate about?

“Outside of work my biggest passion has to be football. When I was younger I played a lot of football but due to injuries (and age) I have resorted to the watching role now. I follow Aston Villa and have managed to persuade my son to support Villa too so we enjoy going to the games together whenever we can. In work I am obviously passionate about sales. I love chasing new business and seeing your hard work come to fruition in a retail environment.”

 

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?

“We are just starting work on some big online projects which will see the Scruffs® brand elevated online. We will have a Scruffs brand store on Amazon in the coming months which will utilise all of our marketing content and images so I think this will look pretty cool and should help to increase sales too."
