Beco launch new treats including first insect-based recipe

Beco is launching its first ever range of treats with four nutritious recipes designed to help dogs master skills through positive reinforcement.

With ground-breaking new recipes featuring locally sourced ingredients, including Insect, Dog Choc, and Cashew, Beco has cherry-picked all the ingredients that dogs love and baked them into tasty biscuits.

The new Treats range includes Beco’s first Insect recipe.  Insects are a super source of digestible protein, and, even better, dogs love the taste.  They have all the aminos and proteins needed to build and maintain healthy muscles, making these little treats a great addition to dogs’ diets – whilst also having a low carbon footprint too.

The range also has vegan options for those looking to reduce their pup’s meat intake, with delicious plant based, protein packed options such as:

Dog Choc, a soothing blend of carob, chamomile, and quinoa, like a warm mug of cocoa that’s perfect for dogs. Carob is a healthy chocolate alternative, making each soft-baked biscuit all the more moreish. Beco has added chamomile for its calming qualities and quinoa for its antioxidants.

Cashew, a delicious blend of buttery cashews with pumpkin seeds and sweet carrots, and Peanut, made with crunchy peanuts, quinoa, and creamy coconut.

The treats, which are small and snappable, to make them easy to break up when training dogs, are baked in to fun bone shapes in small batches in Devon.  Furthermore, they are cooked in ovens powered by renewable energy.

George Bramble, Beco Founder, says: “Treats are such an important way to encourage and reward dogs, and we wanted to create something really special.  We’re so proud of this new range, not just because of the locally sourced ingredients or the sustainable baking process, but also because dogs love the taste whilst their owners can be confident they are healthy and nutritious too.”

Vet Madi Hewitson says: “Treat time can be a fantastic opportunity to not only show our dogs what good boys and girls they are but to give them treats that have ingredients that provide a real health boost. Treats should only make up 10% of our dogs daily healthy calorie intake but it is important that the quality of the ingredients match those present in their daily food.”

Beco’s Treats range can be found at www.becopets.com at £2.99 for a 70g recyclable bag.
