The Golden Paste Company has undergone a complete environmental policy review to address its packaging impact on the environment, with changes to packaging across the product range for equine, pets and humans.
A number of changes have been brought in by the company including a move away from plastic to cardboard packaging where possible at this time*. All packing tape is now completely environmentally friendly with the tape being made from paper; the sticking agent manufactured from potato starch; and the inks made from vegetable oil.
Plastic bubble wrap has been replaced with packing peanuts which are created from potato starch and are cleverly dissolved by running them under the tap with no chemicals released into the water system – just starch.
And, where possible, plastic packaging has been changed to cardboard tubes, including the award winning TurmerEase™ pet supplement packaging. The new policy can be found on the company’s website www.goldenpastecompany.co.uk
Janine Kell, managing director at The Golden Paste Company, comments: “We take our commitment to the environment very seriously and have worked hard over the last few months to redress our packaging, as we know we are not perfect.
"This has led to an overall of our environmental policy and will see us continue to bring in recycleable and reusable packaging wherever possible.
"We want to ensure the impact on the environment will be less no matter how the packaging is disposed of.”
