The Canny Company has launched the new Canny Magloc, a simple ‘point and click’ device that connects a dog lead using only one hand.

Ideal for people who suffer from arthritis or find it difficult to attach a standard trigger clip, the Canny Magloc uses magnets to attract the lead to the dog’s collar then a strong locking mechanism secures the two ends in place. Point it at a dog's collar and it connects automatically. To release, pinch the two black tabs and the dog is off lead immediately.

The Canny Magloc mechanism is made from 30% glass-reinforced nylon and a strong tungsten-steel clip completes the secure connection, meaning the device will withstand up to 65kg of pressure. To avoid confusion however, the packaging states a lower figure of 40kg which is equivalent to the weight of a typical German Shepherd adult male.
