‘Haunted’ pet shop invites customers to séances

A ‘haunted’ pet shop, which made national newspaper headlines with reports of an ‘annoyed ghost’ throwing toys around and frightening dogs, is inviting customers to share an eerie experience at future séances at the store.
Purdy's Pet Shop in Coventry made headlines in the Daily Star and Daily Mirror after owner Rebecca Harrington called in ghost hunters to investigate a series of unexplained incidents.
The local ghost hunter performed a séance at the store and claimed the place was haunted by the spirit of a man who used to live in the building and was annoyed at the presence of staff.
Now, Purdy’s is promising its customers two nights of mystery, spiritualism and séance, with the séance being conducted by Jo from Hideous History Walk Tours of Coventry. The events will be held on March 20 and May 22.
Customers will be charged £15 and with only 10 spaces available per event, tickets will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Half of the proceeds will be donated to Coventry Myton Hospice.
