Pet industry confirms interest in Petindex, say organisers

The Pet Industry Federation, organisers of the Petindex show, have announced a strong start to sales of trade stands for the event.

The event, which takes place from 26-27 April 2020, is aimed at all types of pet businesses, so will not only attract groomers, kennels/catteries and retailers, but also potential pet influencers such as dog walkers, home boarders and day care owners.

The trade show will incorporate an international zone for overseas companies and PIF is working with an overseas media partner, Dähne Verlag, publishers of PET Worldwide, to drive interest from overseas visitors. There will also be an Incubator Zone for new suppliers/manufacturers and a strong focus on education with a host of relevant seminars for pet professionals taking place for the duration of the event, as well as the 2020 British Dog Grooming Championships.

The on-site DoubleTree Hilton hotel has been secured for the Pet Industry Federation Awards, which will take place on the Sunday night making it really convenient for exhibitors and visitors alike to attend and celebrate after a day at the show.

Nigel Baker, PIF CEO, commented: "We are delighted that so many trade exhibitors have confirmed their interest in Petindex by securing a stand at the show. The aim of Petindex is simply to bring the whole pet industry under one roof at the same time by offering a range of features for pet professionals looking for more than just a trade show."

Jo Amit, co-founder of HOWND, said: "We are always keen to exhibit at new shows, especially if the organisers have run successful trade events in the past with strong pre-event marketing in the lead up. We have been exhibiting at the British Dog Grooming Championships for years now and always been very happy with the results. What drew us to Petindex was the diversity of the show. We will be able to network with a wider selection of prospects, helped by the fact that entrance is free. We often have to miss the PIF awards so having this take place at the same event is a significant saving."

Georgina Bashforth, MD of Leucillin, said: "We are delighted to have booked our stand at PIF’s fresh take on an industry trade show, which looks to welcome through its doors not only retail business’ but also all pet care professionals and enthusiasts from all corners of the market. As specialists in animal skin health our Leucillin Animal Skincare is a broad spectrum product which has a huge variety of uses and benefits for all animal owners, professionals and care providers."

Donna Piercy, from GHS Direct, explained: "GHS has been making and supplying hygiene products for over 30 years. We have many contacts and we supply all types and sizes of businesses and people within the animal care sector. This new show will be an ideal opportunity to meet new and existing customers, promote our products and the Company.  I feel the show will be extremely popular and will attract many visitors.  GHS are therefore very much looking forward to being an exhibitor."

Petindex trade stands are available in a range of sizes and are competitively priced with each one including shell scheme, fascia board, carpet, power and light. PIF members receive a generous 20% discount on the price of their stand.
