Emma Gray goes Wild and Tame with CSJ!

Emma Gray, the trail-blazing farmer, shepherdess, author, and TV star has teamed up with documentary YouTube channel Wild & Tame and CSJ Specialist Canine Feeds.

With two episodes now online and more due, viewers praises are pouring in …

  • “Beautifully filmed!! Love watching Border Collies working.”
  • “The level of trust and communication between the dogs and the handler is absolutely incredible to watch. It’s not just a job; it’s a language.”
  • “Congrats to Emma and Ewan for all they've achieved at such a young age.”

A Life Built Around Sheepdogs | Working It – Episode 1 introduces Emma and the story of a life built around dogs.  Sharing her days with 20 dogs at every stage of life alongside cows, sheep, ducks, chickens and a cat, in 680 acres of breathtaking beauty on the Isle of Bute.  You’ll see Emma’s story so far – her obsession with dogs, the choices she’s made because of them, and how they’ve shaped the family and the life she’s built with Ewan and their son Len.

Meet an elite sheepdog trainer's pack of incredible sheepdogs | Working It – Episode 2 delves intimately inside Emma’s life as a top-level sheepdog trainer and the dogs that define it. You’ll meet Jamie, Emma’s most trusted and intelligent dog, an old hand at the job.  You’ll see the next generation coming through, including dogs descended from Flute, a capable female and her new litter of puppies. There’s Grey, the tough guy, the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers and Purdy, the eccentric toy poodle who somehow holds her own among working dogs!  Sadly, selling a dog is also part of the job, something Emma has learned to carry quietly, focusing on the work and the dogs in front of her.

Ceri Rundle - the world-renowned breeder and Sheepdog handler, founder of CSJ Specialist Canine Feeds commented, “Emma has been feeding our CSJ food over the years, she’s a lovely person and very good dog trainer and handler. We have committed to supporting these films which I’m sure everyone will agree are great!”
