Eukanuba fuels champions as principle sponsor of Crufts

March marks the world’s biggest and most popular dog show, Crufts, and as principle sponsor and the Kennel Club’s official partner in pet nutrition, Eukanuba will be feeding the champions hoping to win one of the prestigious awards.

On Sunday March 12, this year’s Eukanuba Friends For Life champion will be revealed following six weeks of public voting.

Eukanuba Friends For Life celebrates the lifetime of love we share with our pets. The competition recognises truly extraordinary dogs that have significant impact on their owner’s life – whether through assistance and service, or support and companionship.

Every story that is shared through Eukanuba Friends for Life shows how dogs make an extraordinary contribution to our lives and is a recognition platform to honour these heroes. Eukanuba will also welcome previous winners Rosie and Boo, and Amanda and Miracle to find out what they’ve been up to since winning the Friends for Life award in 2016 and 2015, respectively.

During the show, and as it continues to demonstrate its dedication to fuelling dogs to be the best they can be, Eukanuba will host RAF officers and their dogs to showcase the extraordinary work they do, and discuss the importance of keeping these dogs fit and healthy through premium nutrition and appropriate care.

In addition, breeders and dog owners will have the opportunity to speak with veterinary expert Kellie Ceccarelli about their pet’s nutritional needs while Nicki Keeler offers top tips on training focusing on different breeds and their development needs, and Jill Gibson shares her knowledge on large and giant breed dogs.

Lastly, Pets at Home Groom Room will be present to showcase how grooming is an essential part of caring for pets’ health and well-being and will provide grooming demonstrations and talks.

Annaliese Reekie, Managing Director of Eukanuba UK comments: “Crufts is an opportunity for us to celebrate the champions in our lives whether they are working dogs, assistant dogs, or family pets.

“At Eukanuba, we encourage owners to bring out the best in their dogs by providing them with premium nutrition to provide visible benefits with a lifelong impact. As pet lovers first and foremost, we understand the impact that dogs can make on our life, and as such, we believe that nutritional benefits that last a lifetime should be at the heart of nutrition, helping dogs to live a long, healthy and active life.”

As a leader in trusted, tailored nutrition since 1969, three recent Crufts’ champions have been fed Eukanuba’s premium nutrition which uses high quality chicken or lamb as its principle protein source providing visible benefits with a lifelong impact, from puppy through to senior years.

Eukanuba’s advanced nutrition offers 100% complete and balanced diet tailored to suit various breeds, life stages, and lifestyles for visible benefits that last a lifetime.

To give dogs a great start to life, Eukanuba Puppy has been developed together with vets and is recommended by top breeders. It’s packed with key minerals and up to 86% animal protein* for strong bones and healthy joints for the active lifestyle ahead of them. Eukanuba’s adult nutrition has a tailored balance of omega 6 and 3 to promote a shiny coat and nourished skin throughout their lifetime. And lastly, Eukanuba mature and senior helps to maintain strong teeth, healthy gums and fresh breath with the help of its unique 3D DentaDefense system.

During the show, Eukanuba is excited to unveil a new range which includes the very best of what science and nature have to offer whilst ensuring a high level of animal protein, in the form of naturally sourced lamb or salmon, of up to 81%.
