Pooch & Mutt has launched a human version of its ‘Digestion & Wind’ dog treat, the company announced on Tuesday (April Fool's Day).

Owner Guy Blaskey said: "Since the dog was first domesticated by humans, up to 20,000 years ago, we have not only used them as hunting partners, protectors and companions, we have also let them take them blame when we have accidentally ‘let one go’.

"For millennia dogs have suffered and been humiliated as the scapegoats for our flatulent faux pas. However this trend has been diminishing over the last year, as more and more dog owners turn to Pooch & Mutt’s ‘Digestion & Wind’ dog treats – ethical, natural, wheat-free, low calorie, baked treats that help stop your pooch from parping.

"Until now there has been no similar solution for humans, other than ‘sticking a cork in it’, but Pooch & Mutt have now rectified this with their new ‘Digestion & Wind for Humans’.
