Cash stolen in pet shop raid

Thieves broke into a pet shop in North Yorkshire and stole a till, cash and charity box.

Ingleby Pet Supplies and Dog Grooming Thornaby was raided shortly after 5.30am on Tuesday morning, and a glass door was broken in the process.

The store posted the following message on social media:

“Thank you for all your kind words today. We do have CCTV footage of the break in which happened in the early hours this morning. The till was dumped nearby in a bin and found this morning by a dog walker. The shop is back up and running and we will be open as normal tomorrow.”

The picture of the damaged door was taken from the pet shop’s Facebook page.
