Former Pets at Home boss joins AO

 

Peter Pritchard, the former boss of Pets at Home has joined the board of online electrical retailer AO World.

 

Peter will be an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Greater Manchester group from October 1.

 

Commenting on his appointment, Geoff Cooper, Chairman of AO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Peter as a Non-Executive Director. We set out to appoint an individual with suitable experience to continue to develop the Board's skill set and Peter brings with him a strong mix of knowledge of consumer-focused businesses, as well as experience of transforming businesses.”

 

Peter was until recently Chief Executive Officer at Pets at Home plc, leading its transformation into the UK's largest and fastest growing pet care provider. He has over 35 years' consumer and broad operational experience, having worked for many of the UK's best-known retail brands, including Wilkinson Stores Limited, Asda/Walmart stores Inc, J Sainsbury plc and M&S plc. He also holds a non-executive position at Motability Operations Group plc.
