Bents Garden & Home has announced a new charity partnership with the Warrington, Halton and St Helens branch of the RSPCA.
With the launch of The Pet Place in late 2014 there has been a growing number of customers visiting Bents who have a passion for animals leading to Bents’ decision to partner with a charity which is so close to the hearts of so many.
The new partnership will run alongside Bents’ existing Charity of the Year (this year being Epilepsy Action), but with all funds from pet focussed events and fundraising opportunities in The Pet Place being donated to the local branch of the RSPCA.
The Warrington, Halton and St Helens branch operates as a cruelty case boarding centre, caring for cats and dogs, with the animals in their care having been removed by Inspectors due to neglect or abuse.
All of the money raised by Bents’ partnership with the charity will help provide veterinary care and fund the equipment and resources for their rehabilitation as well as the everyday costs of maintaining the animal centre.
Says Matthew Bent, Managing Director at Bents Garden & Home: “The work carried out by the team from the RSPCA to rehabilitate animals who have been treated so badly is outstanding and is something that should be supported. Our Pet Place, Pet Café and pet events are proving hugely popular and we are confident that our customers will help us with donations for such a fantastic, locally based animal charity.”
Natalie Bargery, RSPCA WHS Fundraiser added: “We are so excited to be partnering with Bents. They are a huge local business with a genuine interest in companion animal welfare. We can’t wait to get involved in their event programme and meet more of their staff and customers over the coming months.”
Bents will be working with the team from the RSPCA to involve the charity in existing pet events such as Puppy Obedience and Teenage Tantrum classes as well as Mini Crufts and Strut Your Mutt fashion show. It is also looking to plan a family dog walk and other exciting initiatives.
