The Bone Idol Academy is urging pet parents to get clued up on canine first aid, by offering an accessible and informative online course.

After working in the pet industry for many years, and with decades of animal care experience in the business, the aim of the £30 course is to get as many people as possible to learn the basics of canine first aid, so that they react calmly and appropriately in a crisis.

Many pet parents choose to do hands-on first aid qualifications or courses, but others maybe don't have the time, or money to take that step, so Bone Idol tutor Jon Clark says that this course is the introduction to the subject which will give dog owners key life saving skills.

He said: "The more people that have the basics of canine first aid the better, and this course, which can be done at your own pace, takes around two hours in total to complete and contains great information, which will help you react quickly and decisively in an emergency.

Qualified tutors at the Bone Idol academy have taught canine first aid qualifications, so this short course distils some of that key information in a bitesize and easy to digest way.

Topics on the video course which is led by Jon include CPR, poisoning, wound care and choking, and some modules include demonstrations of key techniques.
