Pet shop to close after 40 years of trading

A pet shop has been holding the final days of a closing down sale as the owners get set to retire.

Fishnet Aquarium and Pets in Oldham has been owned and run over the past four decades by David and Lynn Hague.

In a post on the shop’s Facebook page the couple said: “With mixed emotions, after 40 years of trading, we are ready to call time on Fishnet. This is not a sad announcement, it’s the end of an era and the start of the next chapter in our lives.

“We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to every single person that has graced our shop with your custom over the last 40 years, it has been our pleasure to serve you.

“To everyone who has helped and supported us in any way, shape, or form, and to all of our family and friends, we really appreciate and thank you all, and we couldn’t have done it without you.”
