Pioneering dog-food brand, Different Dog has introduced a food donation scheme that will benefit some of the UK’s most vulnerable dogs. The launch of this initiative coincided with the first-ever London Dog Week.
Recognising that some dogs have it really ‘wuff’, the official London Dog Week sponsor is supporting rescue kennels and centres across the country by ensuring abandoned dogs have an opportunity to enjoy freshly hand-cooked nourishing meals to help them become fit and healthy again.
Animal charity centres are being invited to sign up to a monthly prize draw to be in for a chance of winning a bumper sized box of Different Dog’s natural food and treats. All Different Dog recipes are grain-free, nutritionally balanced, packed full of superfoods and vet approved for the complete and balanced diet every dog deserves.
Co-founder Alex Thurstan comments: “We exist to make dogs healthy and happy through real food, however, we know that not all dogs are as lucky as the ones we cook for, which is why we have started up this donation scheme. Our hand-cooked recipes are packed full of the good stuff, helping to give dogs shiner coats and better digestion. We hope our donations will help these dogs to get in peak condition and find their forever family homes.”
To kick things off, Different Dog donated a selection of tasty treats to the dogs of London’s homeless as part of London Dog Week’s X PitPat Pooch Tour led by Barrie the War Dog on Sunday (31st March).
The aim of London Dog Week was to showcase how dogs can benefit our wellbeing, helping to transform lives and as such how important it is to support the welfare of dogs, ensuring positive interactions with our furry friends.
