Bigger and better New Product Showcase at AQUA 2017

Visitors to the two-day AQUA 2017 exhibition can expect to see an impressive display of new products when the premier aquatics and water gardening trade show takes place at the Telford International Centre on October 18-19.
The New Product Showcase is one of the most popular features at the event as visiting buyers welcome the chance to view all the latest launches in one dedicated area.
A record number of more than 100 new products were showcased in 2015 when AQUA was last staged, and a higher number is expected this year. All the items will be entered into the New Product Awards, which will be judged by a team of independent retailers on the opening morning of the show.
In recognition of the growing importance of the New Product Showcase, the Awards will be presented to the winners at the AQUA dinner for the first time, in front of an audience of over 600 people from the trade after the first day of the show.
There will 10 different categories making up the Showcase and Awards. They are:
- POS/Merchandising/Support
- Reptile
- Pond Construction/Decoration
- Pond Pumps
- Pond Filters
- Pond Food, Care and Accessories
- Aquaria, Furniture and Decor
- Freshwater Equipment
- Aquarium Food, Care and Accessories
- Marine Equipment
Show organiser Annie Foord said: “New product development is a key factor in a company’s on-going success, and that’s why shows like AQUA 2017 are so important.
“The fact that the New Product Awards will now be presented at the AQUA dinner just emphasises how important they have become.”
Winning an award is a real accolade for the companies involved and helps promote both company and product awareness.
OASE picked up two New Product Awards at AQUA two years ago and Managing Director Chris Wright emphasised the importance of the accolades. He said: “We were delighted to be recognised for winning the awards for the best pond pump and the best filter. The exposure certainly helped to create lots of interest in the products.
“We are really excited about attending AQUA 2017. The show has been a huge success for us over past few years. We can't wait to show our valued customers our innovations and new business segments for the first time at this year’s show.”
Retailers and buyers will be invited to join exhibitors at the AQUA dinner, which includes a three-course meal and drinks. Located in the International Centre the dinner is free for everyone to attend and is a great way to relax after a busy day at the show.
