'New concept pet store' Bessie & Boo excluded from Just for Pets deal

Bessie & Boo in Evesham, Worcestershire – described as being a new concept in pet stores when it was launched just over a year ago – is one of seven Just for Pets stores that faces closure after being excluded from the acquisition by Pedigree Wholesale.
Bessie & Boo was designed to offer its customers a relaxing, enjoyable shopping experience while receiving excellent customer service and expert advice. At the time of its launch the boutique style store was said to be the first of a string of shops of this type. The Just for Pets business has been acquired by newly formed business PSR Trading Limited, a sister company to Pedigree Wholesale. But as part of the acquisition process it was determined that seven stores, including Bessie & Boo, could not be maintained and employees based at these stores have been issued with redundancy notices by the Administrator appointed by previous owners Just for Pets Ltd.

 Existing Just for Pet stores in the following locations will no longer operate as part of PSR Trading Ltd:

- Northampton
- Nottingham
- Reading
- Wellington
