Pet podcast has become a global phenomenon

A pet business podcast that started in the summer of last year has quickly become a global phenomenon, attracting viewers and listeners from all across the world and showing the impact that the pet industry has on the global economy.

The Pet Business Disruptors podcast was started by Clayton Payne, a pet trade expert who has worked his way up in the pet industry from helping in his family’s pet shop to working in the wholesaler and manufacturing sectors and advising pet businesses as a consultant. The purpose of the podcast was initially to get real on the ground information on the pet industry out there and the broadcasts have since turned into a valuable hub for both pet owners and pet businesses alike by giving background on innovative products, introducing the people behind these products and offering hints and tips on how to succeed in the pet market..

Clayton says,

“Being a category disruptor for over 25 years in the pet industry I know how hard it is to get new and innovative ideas out into the market and my desire was to give companies that were doing something different the platform by which to talk about this. I see the podcast as a unifying bond in the industry that can help anyone at any stage in their career think differently and push themselves forward,”

With over 20,000 downloads a month the podcast has become one of the most downloaded pet podcasts across the world reaching number 1 in its category in Ecuador, Hong Kong, Finland, UAE, Singapore and number 2 in the UK and top 5 in Canada, Ireland, Belgium and Poland, top 20 in France, Germany, South Africa, India and Australia and Top 100 in The USA. It has become a global phenomenon that even broke into the all podcast chart in Ecuador at number 124 only 60 places behind Joe Rogan!

Guests on the show to date have included:  PAWD DRINKS, DotDotPet, Mersey Raw, Doggy Doggy Yum Yum (Baboo Gelato), The Dog G8 Company, Fetch, Karnlea and many more. Clayton also talks to pet nutritionists, experts in the reptile side of the pet industry and consultants who offer specific services to businesses in the pet trade.

Such as been the success of the podcast that Clayton has been approached by major companies who want to sponsor episodes.
