Pedigree Wholesale MD Julian Grindey leaves business

The Specialist Pet Group has announced that Pedigree Wholesale managing director Julian Grindey is leaving the business. Meanwhile, Paul Lewis has been appointed as group managing director, with responsibility across both Pedigree Wholesale and PSR Trading.

Steve Brown, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Specialist Pet Group, revealed the change to the group’s leadership on the company’s Linkedin page,

The company said the change represented a considered step in the continued evolution of the group, strengthening alignment across the businesses. The focus remains on delivering consistent commercial performance, strong availability and high levels of service across all areas.

Paul brings significant experience within the group, having successfully led PSR Trading and driven performance through a clear commercial focus and disciplined operating approach. Paul will continue to drive commercial performance across all channels, working closely with both our independent pet partners and retail customers.

Paul has a strong understanding of the pet trade and a proven track record in delivering results, positioning him well to take on this broader group role.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Brown said: “Paul has a deep understanding of our business and the wider pet trade, and has consistently demonstrated strong commercial leadership. This appointment reflects our focus on building a more aligned Group, with clear accountability and a continued emphasis on delivering for our customers and suppliers. He has my full support as he takes on this role, and I am confident he is well placed to lead the business through its next phase.”
