Furr Boost’s new varieties catch the eye of retailers

Furr Boost launched four new varieties of its smoothie drink at PATS Telford, where the brand caught the eye of major stockists in the UK and overseas.

Louise Toal, founder and creator of Furr Boost, said: “We had a jammed packed stand for the two days of the show, with old customers visiting the stand to extend into the new flavours and new customers who wanted to buy into the Furr Boost product range for the first time.

“The range has been extended to give better choice on proteins, with the Vegan Plant Based product being the ‘go to’ product for dogs with protein allergies.

“We saw uplift at the beginning of the year as the product was being used as a topper to encourage dogs to eat their food. Due to the price increases in dog food, customers were a little more reluctant to switch food straight away when the dog became picky.

“We have also since seen uplift in sales with the boom in enrichment toys over the summer, from the likes of Lickimat and Soda Pup who are creating quirky and interesting products and retailers are keen to keep up with this trend. Furr Boost can be poured into these to keep any pooch satisfied and occupied.

“Due to the flexibility of Furr Boost and its applications, it ticks all the boxes for dog owners as it is natural, functional and hydrating and can be served frozen, slightly warmed or straight out of the carton.

“At PATS we met a lot of new customers who had either seen the product over social media or in the press, or have received requests from their customers to stock the range.  At PATS our products also attracted the likes of Aldi UK, Pets Corner and B&Q.

“Furr Boost is shortly to launch in Pets at Home where Furr Boost will launch with the Beef flavour in store and then on line with the Chicken, Pork and Beef flavour. We also met up with our wholesale distributor, Pedigree Wholesale and existing customer, Viovet

“Enquiries also came in for Japan and Europe, with Furr Boost starting to export to Australia and New Zealand where the product will be trialled in Bunnings, with a view to launching in Pet Range, Coles and Woolworths next year.”

Following the show, Furr Boost HQ has been busy fulfilling all the orders that were taken over the two days, as well as following up on new leads and developing new relationships.
