Scrumbles launches into wet cat food market

Scrumbles has expanded its cat food range to include a selection of 85g wet food pots.

In keeping with its digestive health focus, the brand created three recipes each containing the gut friendly botanical slippery elm, a first in cat food. The pots are made in the UK with natural ingredients and 70% meat content.

Co-founder Aneisha Soobroyen said: “Our cat customers have been crying out for us to expand into wet cat food for some time, so we’re thrilled to present our new range.

“There are some fantastic cat foods in the market, but many are hand packed in the far-east and shipped halfway around the world. We’re delighted to be able to offer a product that is manufactured here in the UK, offers great taste and leading nutrition.

“We know cats are obligate carnivores and it’s long been an open secret that many cat foods fall short on meat content.”

The purr-fect portions are available in three flavours; chicken, salmon and tuna, each containing 70% meat content.

Of the pet trade launch co-founder Jack Walker said: “We love working with the pet trade to bring new and innovative products to the market. We’ll be launching the new cat foods with our network of independent pet shops and invite others who are engaged in high quality, natural pet foods to join us.

“Wet cat food has long been dominated by mass brands like Felix and Whiskas, with our new pots we have a great tasting, healthy alternative and at just 89p is much more accessible than other options.”

Scrumbles are presenting the new range to celebrity cats and press alike at a Catnip and Cocktails party at East London cat café Landy Dinah’s next week.

Launch date:

February 24th 2020, retailers should contact hello@scrumbles.co.uk or 07570098245 for orders or stockist enquiries.
