New benefits for OATA members to launch at AQUA 2017

The Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association is launching a new range of member benefits at AQUA 2017 being held at the Telford International Centre in October.

The improved benefits include a free telephone hotline for issues from HR and health and safety to tax, VAT and legal issues. There is also a huge library of documents that will be available to OATA members to help them find the answers to common issues.

The new range of benefits will be available both to businesses which join at the Show and to current members. OATA will also have special show only offers on discounted membership and training at AQUA 2017.

“We’re very pleased to add this new range of benefits to OATA members,” said Chief Executive Dominic Whitmee.

“Very often small to medium sized businesses – as the majority of our members are – do not have the expertise in-house to help them when problems bubble up. This new range of benefits will help our members to have free expertise in one place to research the key issues they may encounter in the day-to-day running of their business, from HR and employment matters, to legal, health & safety, tax and VAT issues.

“There’s a free helpline to ring to speak to a specialist for advice on more difficult problems and a huge online document library to help them research answers as well. I believe it will help people manage their business in a proactive way, both in a crisis when they need answers fast and to do online research on one website that has gathered all the information they will probably need in one place.”

Also on offer will be free HR and health and safety healthchecks to help businesses make sure they are complying with the law as well as downloadable templates for companies to use to show they have the right procedures in place.

The new range of benefits join those currently on offer to all OATA members, including discounts on OATA’s aquatic-related training packages for staff and a free insurance audit to ensure businesses have the right cover. Membership of OATA also supports the trade association’s important lobbying work, promoting and protecting the trade and enhancing the reputation of the industry, especially with government and regulatory authorities.

Businesses can find out more about the new benefits at the OATA stand (F61) at AQUA2017, being held between 18 and 19 October, or by visiting http://ornamentalfish.org/join-us/.
