Pet food company acquires Bob Martin business

Leading pet food manufacturer Pets Choice has announced the purchase of the Bob Martin Healthcare factory, assets and goodwill after Bob Martin (UK) Ltd entered into administration at the end of November.

Alongside the acquisition Pets Choice has agreed a brand licence with the Martin family so that the Bob Martin brand can continue to flourish and grow.

The sale saw Pets Choice acquire the Bob Martin (UK) Healthcare brand including Clear, Clear Plus and cat litter brand Felight, taking the product portfolio into a new category within pet and boosting the Pets Choice’s brand portfolio to a total of twelve.

Tony Raeburn (pictured above), Pets Choice CEO, said: “We are very sorry to see such a long standing, iconic brand like Bob Martin enter into administration however we are honoured that the Martin family have entrusted Pets Choice to build upon the fantastic reputation that has been set out by the brand.

“We welcome the Bob Martin brand into our strong product portfolio which will complement our Webbox range and offer us a fantastic branded range of Healthcare and Cat litter products going forward.”

The Martin family commented: ‘We are delighted to entrust Pets Choice to continue to market and sell our heritage brand throughout the UK and Europe. Bob Martin products will continue to reach all pet owners to ensure accessible healthcare solutions for all.’
