Members of the PetQuip association have the opportunity of promoting their products to buyers in the Czech Republic.
It follows a British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) initiative that enabled UK suppliers to showcase pet products at the British Embassy in Prague last year.
As a follow-up to the showcase, British companies now have the opportunity of meeting with Czech Republic distributors or presenting their company’s promotional material.
In conjunction with the US Commercial service in Prague, the BCC is taking part in a presentation to some of the leading distributors in the pet product market.
The BCC is offering PetQuip members the chance to visit the FOR PETS annual consumer fair in April 2017 and to participate directly in meetings with leading Czech distributors. Alternatively, if British companies are unable to attend the show, they can provide material for the BCC’s presentation that will take place on 7 April.
FOR PETS is an annual fair for the general public. The show covers a large portfolio of pet products ranging from pet food and accessories to pet cosmetics and accessories and attracts over 30,000 visitors each year. Exhibitors at FOR PETS include some of the leading distributors, brands and retailers of pet products in the Czech Republic.
PetQuip’s director general, Amanda Sizer Barrett commented: “The exploratory visit to Prague in 2016 was just one of the many international market research exercises that we carry out as part of our comprehensive range of services for our member companies.
"As a result of the Czech Republic showcase, we can now offer PetQuip members a significant opportunity to expand their sales to another market that is keen to source British pet products.
"The ownership of dogs, cats, small mammals and reptiles in the Czech Republic is above average per head of population by comparison with other European countries, making it an attractive proposition for British suppliers.
"During 2017, our market research team will also be visiting the Iberzoo+Propet international trade fair in Madrid, and research visits to other countries are currently being planned. Further details are available from the PetQuip team."
