CSJ was delighted to hear that Steven Richardson’s 10 year old Patterdale/Collie cross Libby showed a clean pair of heels in the Team Speedstakes Relay in The Netherlands.
As members of the England team winning in the World Agility Open Championships at Ermelo on 19th to 21st May Libby and Steven showed that ‘veterans’ can still be best.
The World Agility Open (WAO) was founded in 2010 and is managed by Greg Derrett and Monica Percival. It was the first international event created and managed by agility competitors and is now an annual event sponsored by CSJ Specialist Canine Feeds.
The WAO’s mission is ‘to provide the ultimate in dog agility competition; showcase the highest level of agility training, human/canine partnership, and athleticism; and enable all dogs, whether pedigreed or not, to compete in an environment focused solely on agility. It is the first international event created and managed by agility competitors.ne partnership and athleticism: and enable all dogs, whether pedigreed or not, to compete in an environment focused soley on agility’ - and this year’s event certainly showcased what can be achieved by dogs of all shapes, sizes…and ages.
The Wales team also arrived home triumphant after winning gold in Team Agility and the general feeling from all competitors was, “Great event - can’t wait until next year!”
