HOWND to take the stage at Dragons' Den-style boot camp
|
Natural pet care brand HOWND has been named on a shortlist of UK businesses for a distinguished business accolade...
The Hertfordshire based company has made The Pitch Top 50 - and will now have the opportunity to make a 90-second business presentation at the Pitch Boot Camp in front of five ‘Dragon’ style judges, all of whom are influential UK business leaders.
This is the 10th anniversary of The Pitch. The winning business will be named Pitch Champion for 2017 and receive an array of business support tools and mentoring in areas including finance, marketing, sales and technology.
For the best part of a decade, The Pitch has assisted small businesses in reaching the next level. This has been achieved through a variety of online and live initiatives - all of which are geared to educate and empower business owners on how to effectively grow their business.
“Our objective is to clearly communicate how our grooming products are uniquely positioned in the UK market and how we intend to grow the brand internationally over the next few years,” explains Mark Hirschel, co-founder of HOWND.
“Ninety seconds goes very quickly so we’ll need to make sure the pitch is clear, concise, and engaging. Hopefully, our experience of pitching on Dragon’s Den in 2014 will stand us in good stead!”
Created by Mark Hirschel and Jo Amit, HOWND is a market leading brand of natural and vegan-friendly pet care products.
The company’s consumer product lineup includes conditioning shampoos, moisturising body mists, natural perfumes, emergency dog wipes and SPF balms. HOWND is also preparing to release its new foaming dry shampoo, along with a face scrub treatment and tear stain remover.
All of these products use a unique blend of essential oils and are pH balanced. What’s more, they are free from alcohol, parabens, soaps, dyes, optical brighteners and bleaches
HOWND also supplies Professional Conditioning Shampoos to groomers and salons across the UK.
The company has recently been awarded the ‘Ethical Accreditation’ by The Ethical Company Organisation. This is intended to boost the reputations of ethical companies by signifying independent endorsement.
HOWND products are also certified by Cruelty Free International and endorsed by The Naturewatch Foundation.
“We are thrilled to have secured the Ethical Accreditation from The Ethical Company Organisation. Our company ethos centres around creating grooming products that are ethical and sustainable,” explains Jo Amit, co-founder of HOWND.
“The way in which pet products are manufactured is incredibly important to the majority of UK consumers. Hopefully this Ethical Accreditation - in combination with our Cruelty Free certification and endorsement from The Naturewatch Foundation - will give consumers ultimate peace of mind.”
