Busy week for pet company acquisitions and sales

It has been a busy week in the UK pet industry as a number of leading suppliers and retailers have changed hands.

The first news to break was national retail group Jollyes increased its portfolio of stores with the acquisition of Midlands-based Penparc Pet Centres.

This was followed by details of ‘buy and build’ company Assisi Pet Care, whose brands include Hollings and Hi-Life, snapping up award-winning Pet Munchies.

And then came news of Rosewood Pet Products selling a majority stake of the company to European powerhouse Dayes.

The full stories can be viewed in this week’s Pet Trade Xtra.
