Largest British group bound for international trade show


A record number of UK pet product suppliers is exhibiting in the PetQuip trade association’s group at Zoomark 2017 in Italy.

The group comprises 23 companies in the British pavilion (Hall 22) and five companies exhibiting independently in other halls of the show. 

Since PetQuip first organised the British pavilion at the biennial Zoomark show in 2007, the British group has grown each year and numerous new items have been introduced to Italian and worldwide buyers.  2017 will be no exception with new innovations being displayed across most areas of the pet sector.

For the benefit of visiting buyers, PetQuip is organising and manning a British pet product industry information stand (Hall 22, Stand B29) and will be offering a free UK product sourcing service to overseas buyers.

Exhibitors in the British pavilion

Armitage Pet Care (Hall 22, Stand C17) is showing its selection of seasonal treats and toys for dogs, cats and small animals.  The company’s Christmas products for dogs and cats includes an Armitage Luxury Christmas Stocking for Dogs that is packed with festive treats and toys.

Benevo (Hall 22, Stand C24) is showing its ethical, vegan pet foods for dogs and cats, together with chews and treats.  The products replace the essential nutrients found in meat with bio-available alternatives from non-animal sources. Newly launched at the show will be Benevo's certified biodegradable poop bags and a vegan rawhide-alternative is being added to the Pawtato® chew range.

ChickenGuard (Hall 22, Stand B23) is displaying its new and improved range of automated chicken coop door openers that provide protection against predators.  The standard model is fitted with a timer only, while the premium version has both a timer and light sensor.  The extreme model is designed for heavy duty doors of up to 4kg.  The latest ChickenGuard includes a number of new features and a new accessory pack.

Devoted (Hall 22, Stand C20) is showing its cat, dog and puppy foods that are grain-free and packed with meaty goodness.  The foods contain no added artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and have the essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients that pets need to thrive.  All of the foods are hypoallergenic and suitable even for cats and dogs with sensitive digestions.  New at the show are a puppy food with 70% meat / 30% cereal composition and two cat foods with 90% meat / 10% cereal composition.

Doogie Stuff Group (Hall 22, Stand B15) is exhibiting CSI URINE®, which is described as a new force in pet urine clean-up.  CSI URINE® is a blend of natural bio-active enzymes, surfactants and plant extracts that attacks stains and odours at the molecular level to leave surfaces forensically clean.  The company is also exhibiting its widely used LITTER KWITTER® device that helps people train their cats to use a human toilet.  

Earthbound UK Ltd (Hall 22, Stand B11) is showing its high quality pet bedding, blankets, dog coats, toys and accessories.  All of its products are durable, stylish, hard wearing and most are machine washable.  With pets comfort in mind, the bedding utilises deep filled cushions.  Among the company’s accessories are floral bandanas, cage mats, collars, leads and harnesses.

Eden Holistic Pet Foods Ltd (Hall 22, Stand B21) has added a new ‘Duck & Tripe’ recipe to its range of high meat content foods for dogs and cats.  The new addition contains 60 % meat and has a semi-moist consistency.  Developed in consultation with vets and nutritionists, the company’s foods contain the best quality meats, fruits and vegetables, and are completely free of grain and gluten.

Fold Hill Foods Ltd (Hall 22, Stand B17) is showing its baked and extruded completes, treats and mixer meals, including a new trio of grain-free oven baked dog treats to aid vitality, digestion and relaxation.  The company’s premium ranges are oven baked to preserve the taste and goodness of the natural ingredients, while the economy range is specially formulated to keep dogs in great condition.

Forthglade Natural Pet Food (Hall 22, Stand C16) is showing its ranges of natural foods for dogs and cats.  The range includes complete nutritionally balanced meals which are exceptionally high in meat content.  The meals are packed with everything a pet needs for optimum health at their various life stages.  ‘Just 90%’ is a complementary recipe for dogs that is ideal for pet owners who enjoy tailoring their pet’s meals by adding a good quality mixer.

Get Off – Blumen International (Hall 22, Stand C32) is showing its cat and dog training aid that prevents soiling and fouling incidences indoors and outdoors, and also deters the pet from reoffending.  The cat and dog repellent is an effective treatment that discourages cats and dogs from fouling or from using faeces and urine to mark their territory.  It contains harmless but effective deterrent scents and is ideal for use both in the home on doorways, carpets and furnishings, and many outdoor surfaces.

Hing Designs (Hall 22, Stand C12) Is showing its design led, patent protected feeding bowls, and plans to use the Zoomark platform to introduce exciting new additions to the current range of patented designer feeding bowls for both dogs and cats.

Howler & Scratch (Hall 22, Stand C19) is exhibiting its range of British-made Hug Rug recycled cotton, machine washable, ultra absorbent doormats and Howler & Scratch Pet mats.  The extra hard wearing mats are made from nylon fibres with anti-slip backing.  They are super absorbent to protect clean floors from muddy paw prints and washable at 30ºC.

Lily’s Kitchen (Hall 22, Stand B25) is introducing a new range of complete balanced recipes for cats.  The company is also showing its other ranges of natural, wholesome dry and wet food for dogs and wet food for cats.  All of the recipes use only freshly prepared meat, fish, vegetables and fruit with a blend of botanical herbs.
Micro-ID Ltd (Hall 22, Stand C18) is showing its microchips and microchip scanners for animal identification.

PACDOG (Hall 22, Stand B31) is exhibiting its dog training collar systems that are ideal for tackling  all types of persistent problems, such as  dogs running away or being wilfully ‘deaf’ to recall when chasing farm stock, cars, joggers etc.  The collar can also be used to deal with situations where dogs jump up on people, steal food or pull on the lead.  The product has a long range control up to 1km on ideal terrain, and its rechargeable handset batteries give up to a months’ worth of training sessions from a single charge.

PATS and AQUA 2017 (Hall 22, Stand B19) The organiser of these trade exhibitions is providing details of PATS, the UK’s number one pet trade event that takes place at the Telford International Centre, UK from 24th to 25th September 2017 and at Sandown Park, Surrey, UK from 20th to 21st March 2018.  The company also organises AQUA 2017, the UK’s water gardening and aquatics trade event that takes place at the Telford International Centre from 18th to 19th October 2017.  

PetQuip (Hall 22, Stand B29) is the International Trade Association of Pet Equipment Suppliers. The PetQuip team assists and promotes the development of international trade in the pet equipment sector, providing a catalyst for business contact between manufacturers, suppliers and international buyers around the world.  As part of its free UK pet product sourcing service to overseas buyers, PetQuip has published the PetQuip Buyers’ Guide, which includes a directory of members’ product ranges, and copies will be available to all buyers visiting the PetQuip stand.

Pets Choice (Hall 22, Stand C30) is showing its food and treat products for dogs and cats under the Webbox, Davies, Oceanic and Goodwyns brands.  As well as its own branded product, the company also produces private label extruded food, moist food, retorted trays and baked fresh meat treats.  The company’s services include packaging design, fulfilment and logistics as well as the manufacture of food and treats.

Podium Pet Products (Hall 22, Stand C22) is displaying its 100 per cent proven Dog Rocks natural solution to stop pet urine burn patches ruining grass and hedges.  One pack of Dog Rocks placed in a dog’s water bowl will help keep lawns in perfect condition for up to two months, without changing the pH balance of a pet’s urine. The company is also showing its Torus pet water bowl, the Pet Angel anti-tangle grooming brushes for dogs and cats and the Pet Angel professional pet grooming brushes.

Symply Pet Foods Ltd (Hall 22, Stand C26) is promoting its Canagan and Piccolo brands of  ultra premium dog and cat foods that contain only the finest natural ingredients for a balanced and complete diet.  The range of Piccolo foods has been produced for small dogs, and contains the tastiest cuts of meat, mixed with a little sweet potato and selected vegetables, herbs and botanicals.

Tabcat (Hall 22, Stand C13) is exhibiting its revolutionary cat tracking device that enables the owner to keep track of the whereabouts of their pet.  The device attaches easily to a cat’s collar and is lightweight but sufficiently robust to stay in situ under all circumstances.  It has a high degree of accuracy and can locate lost cats to within 2cms.  The Tabcat tracker is more effective and much lighter and affordable than GPS or other systems.

TASTYBONE (Hall 22, Stand C28) is exhibiting its wide range of nylon, edible and rubber chews and play-toys.  New product launches at the show include a Peanut Butter Flavoured Bone, the latest nylon bone with irresistible peanut butter flavours.  There is also a Toy Trio Nylon Bone that has a tasty combination of chicken and beef nylon trio bones, a Toy Trio Dental Nylon Bone consisting of a unique pack of minty dental trio bones and a new lifelike Shaped Edible Bone.  

Vitalin – The Natural Choice (Hall 22, Stand B27) is adding a new super premium cat food to its range of dog, cat and ferret dry foods.  Other recently introduced products include a hypoallergenic super premium cat food consisting of Vitalin Kitten and Vitalin Adult Cat in both chicken and salmon varieties.  Vitalin Kitten provides high quality protein using 100% British chicken.  Vitalin Adult Cat is available in either100 per cent British chicken or 100% cent Scottish salmon flavours.  Also in the Vitalin range is an Adult Large Breed dog food that contains duck and potato.

Hugo Kamishi Products (Hall 22, Stand C15) is showing its designer aquarium products that include ornaments, fish tanks and accessories that change with the seasons and allow new colours and themes to be experimented with throughout the year.  The range includes a wide selection of imitation plants made from a selection of materials, coloured and natural gravels, decorative stones and ornaments.

The companies in the British group exhibiting in other halls at Zoomark are:

AATU (Hall 22, Stand B97-C98) is showing its Ultra Premium and High Protein Pet Foods that includes a new variety for puppies that providing an 85% / 15% single source protein diet containing 85% salmon.  AATU is a brand of Pet Food UK that also includes Barking Heads and Meowing Heads.  

Group 55 (Hall 21, Stand C68) is exhibiting a new addition to its extensive range of Animology high quality pet grooming products.  ‘True Colours’ is a colour enhancing shampoo designed to improve the radiance of all dogs’ coats regardless of hair colour or mix of colours.  The company is also showing its other dog shampoos, sprays, vitamins, supplements and pet wipes, as well as its first ever range of pet beds, Animology Crash Pads.  Available in medium and large, the Animology pet beds are hair, water and odour resistant with heavy duty, wipe clean, removable covers in ‘on trend’ colours.

Law Print & Packaging Management Ltd (Hall 21, Stand A52) is exhibiting its pet food packaging solutions that includes Bric-Pak, the next generation of quad seal technology with a flat base for great on-shelf presence.  The company has a dedicated team of specialists that spans the entire packaging supply chain including design, print, quality assurance and international logistics.  

Scruffs (Hall 14, Stand E13-15) is showing its new insect shield bedding and apparel that protect dogs against mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, ants and flies.  Also on show is the company’s extensive collection of other luxurious dog beds.

The Company of Animals (Hall 21, Stand A56) produces the HALTI Walking range of stylish and practical items suitable for every type of dog and owner.  The range comprises collars, harnesses and three new types of lead including an all-in-one lead that is ideal for joggers and those leading an active lifestyle.
