Husband and wife team secure £190k funding for 'luxury pet hotel'

A Bedfordshire-based husband and wife team, which are set to create a "luxury pet hotel", have purchased Conifer Kennels and Cattery with support from a £190,000 funding package from NatWest.

Linda and husband Steve Davis plan to renovate the business with buildings and facilities such as a new reception area, shop and car park.

The purchase is part of the duo’s ambitions to add a luxury pet hotel to the premises alongside its standard lodgings.

The deal was made possible with a £190,000 loan from NatWest provided by Denise Nickolls, relationship manager after an introduction by Roy Hawkins, commercial finance broker at Finance House.

Nickolls said: "Linda and Steve have big plans for Conifer Kennels and Cattery and we are delighted to help them with their ambitions. They care so much about the animals they look after that pet-owners will be travelling from afar to make use of their specialist services."
