The 2022 trial sought to determine the efficacy of Dorwest’s calming supplements and included 46 participants and their dogs using Scullcap & Valerian Tablets.
Trial participants were provided with the recommended quantity of tablets according to dog weight, and were supplemented over the ‘fireworks period’ from September to November 2022. The participating dogs’ fear response was measured pre and post supplementation of Scullcap & Valerian Tablets.
40 out of 46 owners noted a reduction in anxious behaviours demonstrated by their dogs after exposure to fireworks with supplementation, in comparison with anxious behaviours displayed pre-supplementation with exposure to fireworks. Therefore the majority of participating owners reported a much-improved change in their dog’s behaviour in response to fireworks and loud noises after using Scullcap & Valerian Tablets.
