Take your time when deciding on a career move in the pet trade, says recruitment expert

Recruitment expert Lynda Ward advises people working in the pet industry to take their time when deciding on a career move.

Lynda, founder of the award-winning recruitment specialists Pet Trade Solutions, says: “When it comes to career advice, I always advise people to take a long hard look at their current situation and prospects before making a move…as it can sometimes be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.

"I receive many calls from people asking advice on whether or not they should accept a job offer, or seek a new role and perhaps surprisingly this can sometimes result in advising them to remain where they are when I feel it is in their best interests.

"A confidential chat can potentially reveal things which could easily be resolved if the person spoke to their existing employer and suggested ways to make changes … without them taking the drastic action of leaving an otherwise satisfactory position.

She goes on: “My business is to find and fit the best people to the best role with the best company to the benefit of both employee and employer and my recommendation to everyone is always, look before you leap."

Lynda is always happy to personally advise on any aspects of recruitment and marketing strategy and can be contacted on 07946 743784 or at lyndaward@pettradesolutions.com
