In a nail-biting first film to be launched today top international sheepdog handlers Mosse Magnusson (Scotland), Toddy Lambe (Ireland) and Derek Fisher (USA) compete for a place in the final of ‘A Way with Dogs’ – series 2.

CSJ’s YouTube channel will then continue to keep viewers on the edge of their seats every 2 weeks as each new programme is aired to reveal the other top-rank competitors grappling with problem sheep, the elements and each other’s skills.

Fascinating in-depth interviews with all the 13 handlers are also on www.awaywithdogs.co.uk which give an insight into how they create such a close bond with their dogs and are able to capitalise on the clever Border Collie breed’s will to work.

Again, as in the highly praised series 1 which aired in 2016 all the action is set in the beautiful Denbighshire countryside which is home to CSJ’s founder Ceri Rundle and her award winning Specialist Canine Feeds, herbs and treats business.

Ceri herself has an outstanding pedigree in the sheepdog world including being the first lady to represent Wales in the first Young Handlers competition held at the Supreme International Championships at Armathwaite in 1980, the first lady to qualify for the Welsh National Team with her homebred dog, Bwlch Hemp in 1996, Reserve in 1997 and later earned 2 further national ‘caps’ with two Hemp sons, Moel Cap and Moel Nip. Cap also partnered Ceri at the World Trials in Ireland in 2005.

She was the first lady to be elected on to the Panel of National Judges for Wales which has allowed her to judge in USA, Europe and Scandinavia and was also honoured to become Chair of the North Wales Sheepdog Society in the early '90s.

Ceri’s knowledge and standing in the sport of sheepdog trials enabled her to bring her brainchild of A Way with Dogs series 1 to YouTube and it was such a success that series 2 was immediately being clamoured for.

The hard work is now complete and the action starts in the battle for the A Way with Dogs series 2 trophy – be sure to watch (you’ll be hooked).
