Hednesford store celebrates winning top award

Pets Corner in Hednesford has been named Pet Retail Chain of the Year at this year’s Pet Industry Federation Awards.

The store, which is one of 160 shops that make up the family run, ethical pet retailer, was judged on its overall commercial success, customer service and satisfaction, staff training and contribution to innovation over the last 12 months.

This is the third consecutive year that a Pets Corner store has won the coveted title with the company’s Cheltenham and Warminster stores winning in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

The Pet Industry Federation Awards has become the pet trade’s social event of the year celebrating and recognising the outstanding work of independent and national pet businesses across the UK.

Lauren Elshaw, Manager at Pets Corner Hednesford, said: “We are thrilled to have won Pet Retail Chain of the Year 2016 and join our colleagues at Cheltenham and Warminster in receiving this much coveted title.

“We are really proud of everything we do at Hednesford and have worked extremely hard to ensure all our customers – both animal and human – receive a warm and friendly welcome and the best possible expert advice.”

Dean Richmond, Managing Director of Pets Corner, added: “Great work Hednesford! I knew they could do it!  They work tirelessly to make sure their store is one of the best in the company and are consistently going above and beyond by coming up with new ideas. I love receiving the regular feedback from customers praising their efforts so this is a very well deserved win – congratulations!”
