PIF reveals programme for Business of Pets conference

The Pet Industry Federation has announced the programme of talks and workshops that will be involved in its Business of Pets conference.

The Business of Pets is designed to help pet businesses take that step to the next level. It will take place over two days from Wednesday 5 to Thursday 6 June at the Cranfield Management Development Centre near Milton Keynes and will focus on innovation, money and marketing with a full itinerary of expert and insightful speakers. An evening social BBQ will take place after the first day to allow for relaxed networking.

The programme will cover topics such as how to pitch successfully, risk areas for investors and lenders, brand building, navigating the range of marketing techniques and trends in pet ownership. Delegates will hear from speakers who are experts in their area and from pet businesses who have successfully taken the leap to the next step and who will be sharing their experiences. There will also be the opportunity to attend workshops and clinics as well as the headline presentations.

The other key element of this new conference is the Innovation of the Year Award; entry is open to all businesses in the pet sector, including product, service or tech. A judging panel will select ten finalists who will then have the opportunity to present their innovation at the event, giving them unprecedented access to potential investors. The winner will be chosen on the final day of the event.

Nigel Baker, CEO of PIF commented: “Following the success of last year’s event, we have worked hard to create a fantastic and insightful programme which will prove invaluable for the business owners, directors and decision makers who attend. I would also encourage all pet business innovators to enter the Innovation of the Year Award – the deadline for which is 25 April 2024; the ten finalists will have a unique opportunity to pitch to potential investors during the two day Business of Pets conference.”

Tickets to The Business of Pets conference are now on sale and are strictly limited to ensure that delegates can make the most of their attendance. To purchase tickets, and for more information, please visit www.petfederation.co.uk
