Bestpets sponsors British Dog Grooming Championship

Pet supplies wholesaler Bestpets will be the headline sponsor at this year’s British Dog Grooming Championship, taking place on Sunday 28 October at Warwickshire Event Centre, near Leamington Spa.

The event attracts hundreds of pet groomers every year, and has the largest number of trade stands of any pet grooming event, offering a wide range of products and services to the pet sector.

In addition, three seminar rooms will be active throughout the day with individually ticketed grooming demonstrations scheduled; as well as ‘free to access’ business-related seminars and workshops on a range of topics and subjects of relevance to pet professionals.

Mike Bailey (right), Head of Bestpets, said: "As the UK’s leading pet food and accessories wholesaler, Bestpets is delighted to be partnering with the Pet Industry Federation to become the headline sponsor of the British Dog Grooming Championship in 2018.

"Bestpets prides itself on being a partner to the Professional Dog Grooming community - not simply just a supplier.

"Our commitment and the resources we put behind our trade partners is second to none.

"The pet grooming sector is a growing part of the Bestpets business and we have recently extended our grooming range to meet the needs of our customers, whether they are seasoned professionals with many years of experience or simply someone just starting out in the industry.

"We are extremely excited about this partnership and are looking forward to seeing the best groomers in the UK compete for the sector’s ultimate accolade."

Nigel Baker, PIF CEO added: "Bestpets’ increasing involvement within the professional dog grooming market reflects the growing importance of this sector and its role as a fundamental health and welfare consideration for dogs.

"The British Dog Grooming Championship has been established for over 30 years and has continually pushed the boundaries of pet grooming events, to become the largest pet grooming event in the UK.

"Bestpets are therefore perfectly placed to partner the British Dog Grooming Championship this year and we look forward to working with them over the next six months to create a successful and exciting show for the nation’s pet groomers."

Tickets will be on sale shortly through the PIF website, along with further details about judges, demonstrations, seminars and trade stands.
