Petplan has opened nominations for the 2024 Petplan Veterinary Awards, which celebrate their 25th year milestone.
Since 1999, the prestigious Petplan Veterinary Awards, have recognised the exceptional work carried out by passionate veterinary professionals and practices across the UK, and as the years have gone on, that passion and remarkable work hasn’t diminished.
With nominations open from today, both clients and colleagues can nominate veterinary professionals and practices across five categories, in celebration of the inspiring efforts and dedication they’ve witnessed.
The ‘Oscars’ of the veterinary world, as they’re sometimes known, include five award categories that celebrate both individuals and groups across a range of roles:
- Practice of the Year
- Practice Manager of the Year
- Practice Support Staff of the Year
- Vet of the Year
- Vet Nurse of the Year
Every professional nominated in the awards will be notified, receiving a personalised certificate to hold pride of place at their practice, before a shortlist of three finalists per category is selected.
The selection process is carried out by an independent panel of specialist judges from within the veterinary industry– a tough ask considering the thousands of nominations that are received every year.
From fostering fantastic relationships with teams and clients, to providing exceptional levels of animal care and exceeding day-to-day expectations, there are an array of qualities that contribute to a worthy Veterinary Awards winner, with each and every nomination telling a personal and unique story.
All finalists are invited to an awards ceremony, which next year will be held in Manchester on Thursday 21st March.
Bella von Mesterhazy, Sales and Marketing Director at Petplan, commented: “25 years is a huge milestone for the Petplan Veterinary Awards, and we’re all excited for a fantastic celebration. Every year we think we’ve seen it all, but then we’re overjoyed by the sheer volume of and enthusiasm behind the latest nominations. So for anyone who’s considered nominating before but hasn’t got round to it, this year’s the time to get involved, as we all come together to champion the immense success of the UK’s veterinary industry, whilst celebrating the awards quarter-century anniversary.”
