The Kennel Club and Mars Petcare launch Partners in Petcare

The Kennel Club and Mars Petcare join forces to launch Partners in Petcare, a five-year partnership to create a better world for pets and enhance the experience of pets, pet owners and breeders.

The Kennel Club community will benefit from access to leading Mars Petcare brands including Royal Canin and James Wellbeloved as well as other veterinary care services, nutrition, and wellness products. As well as a recommendation programme offering a smooth transition for the new puppy, giving peace of mind for the breeder and new pet owner.

By combining Mars Petcare’s nutritional expertise with The Kennel Club’s long heritage and wealth of experience, the partnership will bring to life the special relationship between pets, their owners and the professional community of breeders and vets for better care outcomes.

The Kennel Club is showcasing this new partnership at Crufts 2024.

Mark Beazley, Chief Executive, The Kennel Club, said: “We only exist for our community of pets, pet owners and breeders and this partnership will help support their needs and enable us to enhance our offering and drive improved care and benefits for pets. We are thrilled to enter this long term partnership with Mars Petcare to enhance The Kennel Club experience for pet owners.”

Nick Foster, General Manager, Royal Canin UK and Ireland, commented: “We are excited to partner with The Kennel Club and share our knowledge, passion and expertise in pet nutrition that has been forged over 50 years with veterinarians, breeders, and other professionals. We believe in giving the right nutrition to the right pet at the right time. We will support Breed Clubs through education, expertise, and, in some cases, a dedicated portfolio. Through this partnership we will jointly reach more pets, pet owners and breeders at critical moments with our innovative products and deliver further on our purpose: A better world for pets.”

Paolo Rigamonti, General Manager, Mars Pet Nutrition UK, said: “Our Mars Petcare purpose is to make a better world for pets, and we do this by putting pets and pet parents at the heart of everything we do. This partnership is all about helping to share our knowledge and the benefits of our naturally healthy nutrition and expertise through James Wellbeloved with the Kennel Club community and, through them, supporting many pet parents as possible at critical stages in their pet’s life. We’re very pleased to be working even more closely with the Kennel Club and its members.”
