Enhanced insurance cover to benefit kennel and cattery members of PIF

The Pet Industry Federation has announced details of an extension of its member benefit business insurance, to now accommodate kennel and cattery members.

For the last three years, the Pet Industry Federation has successfully partnered with leading insurance broker Jelf, to provide peace of mind around issues and core risks faced by groomers, sitters, home boarders and walkers.

The package has now been enhanced to benefit PIF’s kennels and catteries to offer bespoke cover. PIF kennel and cattery members will receive protection around employers and public liability, animal theft, personal accident and loss of animal boarding licences and fees.

Nigel Baker, PIF CEO said: "Kennels and catteries represent a growing number of PIF members. They have very specific needs compared with other pet businesses, with some of the greatest responsibilities when it comes to animal care. So in this respect we are delighted to offer bespoke cover to achieve their business needs."

Policies are subject to terms and conditions, and each member’s specific requirements and circumstances.

If you would like to find out more about PIF’s membership benefits, as well as any of the other work that PIF is involved with, including qualifications and its new public-facing ‘mypetpeople’ website, speak to the PIF team on stand T1 at PATS Sandown between March 21-22.

If you are looking for specific insurance advice, there will also be a representative from Jelf on Wednesday 22nd March at PATS Sandown from 1pm onwards to discuss the new kennel and cattery product and any other insurance queries you may have.
