PIF calls for donations to support Ukraine’s vulnerable pets
|
The Pet Industry Federation is calling on the generosity of pet businesses once again to donate crucial pet supplies to the abandoned pets in Ukraine, as part of the 'Save the Pets of Ukraine' project.
UK pet businesses are being asked if they can donate items such as pet food and treats, flea and tick treatments or health and hygiene products.
PIF will co-ordinate donations and arrange for a consignment to make its way to Ukraine.
PIF CEO, Nigel Baker, commented: "The Ukraine war is far from over and many abandoned pets still live in shelters which rely on food and product donations to support the pets residing there. Pet businesses have dug deep in recent months and we hope we can rely on them once again to help the countless pets in Ukraine, deeply affected by the conflict, to have a fighting chance."
If you are interested in donating product, please contact daniel.everett@petfederation.co.uk with the details of the items you are able to supply and the weight. Please note that donated goods need to be supplied on pallets, although products can be mixed on the pallet.
