Pedigree artificial grass is best in class

For the 20th year running, Kent-based Artificial Lawn Company has supplied and installed its Pedigree Lawn to the 2023 Crufts Dog Show. ALC laid a total of 2890m² of its dog-friendly lawn in the main arena, the obedience ring, and the young kennel club arena.

The finish of the floors in each arena is important to ensure that the dogs have a good grip but comfortable landing during agility and flyball heats. It also looks great on the TV and helps add to the amazing atmosphere of the show. The floors also need to be quickly and easily washed down to maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the four days of the dog show.

“Our Pedigree grass is consistently the first choice for Crufts as it has been proven year after year to be the perfect artificial lawn for the active energy of dogs of every size and shape,” commented Sam Baylis, surveyor and salesman at Artificial Lawn Company.

“It features a durable 15mm curled pile that is easy to maintain in case of natural accidents and provides the perfect landing surface for dogs who are proving their worth in the agility classes.”

Laying the artificial grass in the three arenas took just two and a half days to complete, as the floor is already perfectly flat - it is simply a case of cutting it to shape and fixing it to the floor using industrial double-sided tape. Not only is the floor covering perfect for the pooches, but it also brings a natural vibrancy to the arena.

At the end of the show, ALC rolls the grass back up and sells it at a discounted price. Due to its infamy (and great price), ALC’s Pedigree grass - as seen on Crufts - is often re-purposed into dog agility centres, dog homes, sports pitches, and even ditch liners for bowling greens.

Established in 2000, Artificial Lawn Company is one of the UK’s most experienced manufacturers and installers of premium artificial grass products. Located in Kent, the company works predominantly in the southeast of England, supplying quality artificial grass to builders and contractors for commercial and residential projects, as well as carrying out installation projects itself.
