Burgess Pet Care to showcase new products at Interzoo

Burgess Pet Care has confirmed it will return to Interzoo 2026 to showcase the latest innovation from its Burgess Excel and Country Values brands alongside their private label manufacturing expertise

Exhibiting from 12th to the 15th of May 2026 at the Nuremberg Messe Exhibition Centre, the Yorkshire-based manufacturer will use the world’s leading pet trade fair as a platform to strengthen global partnerships and accelerate international expansion.

At the forefront of the Burgess Excel showcase will be its significantly expanded hay portfolio, reflecting the essential role forage plays in small animal nutrition. The Excel Feeding Hay range is sourced from trusted Yorkshire farms, encourages natural foraging and supports dental and digestive health. Burgess is proud to be growing its hay category by offering a variety of flavours and size formats for retailers.

Burgess Excel will also present new product development for 2026, including Veg Patch Bites, an addition to the Nature Snacks baked treat range. The product is designed for hand feeding, helping to support the bond between the animal and the owner, to the benefit of both parties. Following strong commercial success in the UK, Burgess Excel’s Mini Hay Bales, made from 100% Timothy hay, will also be on display.

Further additions within the Excel nugget range address specific life-stage and lifestyle needs. Indoor Rabbit Nuggets with Dandelion & Nettle are formulated with added vitamin D to reflect lower exposure to natural sunlight. Mature Guinea Pig Nuggets with Cranberry & Mint are developed for guinea pigs aged four years and above, with a high-fibre formulation and specific ingredients to support vitality and joint health

In addition to Excel, Burgess will showcase its Country Values small animal range, positioned as a value-focused alternative to muesli-style mixes. The nugget-based recipes are formulated to prevent selective feeding and includes Rabbit and Guinea Pig Nuggets, grass-based Nourishing Nibbles treats and dust-extracted Bedding Hay.

While Country Values is well established in the UK market, Burgess is also exploring opportunities for broader international and European distribution, with Interzoo forming a key part of its ongoing export strategy. The company already works with leading retail partners both in the UK and internationally including Pets at Home, Jollyes, Zooplus and Maxizoo, and sees significant opportunity to grow its export footprint further.

Kerry-Ann Wessells, International Marketing Executive at Burgess Pet Care, commented: “Interzoo provides an unrivalled platform to connect with international retailers, distributors and supply partners. Burgess Excel continues to lead through innovation in forage and functional small animal nutrition, and we are excited to showcase our expanded hay portfolio and new product development for 2026.

“At the same time, Country Values represents a strong opportunity for international growth, offering retailers a value-led yet nutritionally responsible alternative within small animal. We look forward to building new partnerships and strengthening our global presence.”

Trade media and retail buyers are invited to visit Burgess Pet Care at Hall 9 (Stand 9-240) from 12-15 May 2026 at the Nuremberg Messe Exhibition Centre to explore the full Burgess Excel and Country Values ranges.
