Pets Choice to continue Pettex Aquatic brand following closure

Pets Choice Ltd has announced it will take-over the goodwill and pond food branding from Pettex Aquatic Ltd, ensuring the Pettex range continues in the market following the closure of their aquatics business.

The procurement strengthens Pets Choice's presence within the aquatic category and builds on the successful integration of the Pettex Cat Litter brand, acquired in 2025. From 1st October 2026, the Pettex Aquatic range will become part of the Pets Choice family, joining an established portfolio that includes Webbox, Bob Martin, Felight, TastyBone, Vet's Kitchen and Hownd.

Pets Choice supplies high-quality pet care products to partners across the Pet Speciality, Grocery, Independent retail, and eCommerce sectors, serving customers throughout the UK and beyond.

Tony Raeburn, CEO of Pets Choice, comments: "While it is sad to see the previous owners make the difficult decision to close their business after 67 years, we are honoured that they have entrusted Pets Choice with the future of the Pettex Aquatic brand. Our families have enjoyed a strong relationship spanning many years and generations, making this particularly meaningful for us.

"Pettex has built an excellent reputation within the aquatic market, and we are committed to continuing that legacy. This brand enhances our product offering, strengthens our position in the sector, and enables us to provide even greater value to our customers and retail partners."
